Ravens Week 7 Recap

The Ravens played against the winless Buffalo Bills in Baltimore. The Ravens scored on a field goal by Billy Cundiff to take the early 3-0 lead. Buffalo then scored ten points of their own to make it a 10-3 lead after the first quarter.
The Bills led 24-10 midway through the second quarter, much to the surprise of the Baltimore fans. In the final minute of the first half Billy Cundiff kicked a 48-yard goal and Todd Heap scored on a 14-yard touchdown pass from Joe Flacco to make it a close game. The Bills led 24-20 at halftime.
In the third quarter, Anquan Boldin caught a 34-yard touchdown reception to give the Ravens the 27-24 lead. Willis McGahee scored on a 2-yard run to make it 34-24 Ravens, scoring 24 unanswered points.
In the fourth quarter, Buffalo scored 10 points to tie the game and force overtime for the second week in a row. In overtime, Billy Cundiff kicked a 38-yard field goal, after the defense forced a costly turnover, to pull out a Ravens victory.
The defense did not play well, even with the return of Ed Reed, allowing 506 total yards. They stepped up when it mattered most, forcing the turnover that led to the game winning field goal in overtime.
With the win, the Ravens improve to 5-2, which is good for second place in the AFC North. They are also now 3-0 at home this season and will host the Miami Dolphins following a bye week in week 8.
