Mystery in a Texas Town

Mystery in a Texas Town
By Charles Rachel

Once upon a time in the Texas town of El Paso, there lived a man named John Smith. He was the town’s mayor. One day a new restaurant opened in the town. The restaurant served sea food, chicken, and other great dishes. Then one day, a mysterious woman suddenly appeared in the town. No one knew  who the woman was, or exactly what she was doing there. As it turns out, the woman was the wife of the restaurant owner. His name was William Price. His wife’s name was Lillian. Many people ate at the restaurant on a daily b ases. One afternoon John went to the restaurant for lunch. After lunch, John left the restaurant and headed to a meeting, but he never made it to the meeting. Everyone was getting worried, and no one knew where he was. Everyone began searching everywhere for him, but he couldn’t be found anywhere. or so they thought. However, there was one place they didn’t look,   in the basement of the restaurant. That’s where John was.  It seems he was being held there for unknown reasons by the owners of the restaurant. John’s friends opened the basement door and let him out. The police arrested the restaurant owner, and charged him with kidnapping, and keeping an official from performing his job.  Other members of the owner’s family took over running the restaurant, and all ended well. As for the original owner, He retired from the business.
