Free Birds Movie Review

Free Birds Movie Review By Charles Rachel I recently had the opportunity to see the new Free Birds movie earlier this week. This movie stars Owen Wilson, Woody Harrelson, and Amy Poehler among others. This is a movie about Thanksgiving in which after the president pardons a turkey, that turkey and his friends go back in time to stop the first Thanksgiving from happening. This is a great family film. On a scale of one to ten, I give it a ten. I highly recommend it to everyone this holiday season.

What I Would Do with the Ware house My Wife Bought

What I Would Do with the Ware house My Wife Bought By Charles Rachel If my wife bought a ware house with our life savings, the first thing I would do is want to sell it. I might also want to run a business out of it. We would have to work hard to put money back in our account. We would either have to find another place to live, or stay where we were and make the best of the situation. Maybe we would be able to move in the future when things get a bit better for us. Until then, we would just have to make the best of things.

What Life Might Be Like If Garfield The Cat Was Real

What Life Would Be Like If Garfield The Cat Was Real
By Charles Rachel

If Garfield the cat really existed, he would probably want to sleep a lot. He would most likely bother the dog and get him in trouble. If he was bothering me while reading the Newspaper, it would most likely be because he wanted to read the comic section. He would probably ask for food. He would probably do all the same things he does in the classic cartoon. I think it would be neat if he was real. This is one of my favorite shows of all time. I would love to see what life would be like with Garfield as a pet.

The Letter in the Alley

The Letter in the Alley By Charles Rachel If I saw a boy going into an alley, I would follow him being curious about why he was there. If I found a letter instead, I would be afraid it might mean he had been kidnapped. If this is the case, I would tell the police and give them the letter. Hopefully thay would be able to find the boy and rescue him before anything happened to him. I would give them any help I could and would hope others would as well.

Captain Philips Movie Review

Captain Philips Movie Review By Charles Rachel I recently had the opportunity to see the new movie called Captain Philips. This movie stars Tom Hanks as the Captain of a saling ship that gets taken over by pirates. This is the true story of what happened to the captain and his crew and where the criminals are now. Serving a 33 year jail sentence, this is one of the best movies I have seen in a long time. I highly recommend this film to anyone looking for adventure or anyone who just likes true stories. I am glad I was not on that ship with them. It looked like quite a scary ordeal. I am glad everyone is ok.

A World in which Animals Live Like Humans

A World in which Animals Live Like Humans By Charles Rachel The only type of world animals could live in like humans is the world of pretend. There could be pigs that drive cars, or many other types of animals who talk, work or order takeout. They would be able to do almost anything we could think of. In reality however, they can only do as they are trained or things they are born for. It is interesting to wonder what they might be thinking though

My Irish Heritage

My Irish Heritage

With Saint Patrick’s Day just around the corner, I thought I’d write about something not very few people know about me. I am part Irish, and part Cherokee Indian. However it is the Irish side that I am most interested in. I have discovered through investigating in my spare time that I am distantly related to the English. By this, I mean, the British royals also rule over the Irish people. I have never explored this side of my life before. I sometimes wonder what it might be like to have servants like the royal family does. However, there are people who help me when I need it. That is good enough for me. I have also had a little fascination with the royal greeting for quite some time. By this, I mean the bow or curtsy greeting given when someone is around a member of the monarchy. This happens rarely here, and that’s fine.  However, I think this would be a fun experience to have, at least for a while. If I could have anything in the world, it would be to experience more of my Irish side.  I might even like to be curtsied to just for fun. Only with those who may be willing, and only in a perfect world.  This is not a perfect world though.

Mystery in a Texas Town

Mystery in a Texas Town
By Charles Rachel

Once upon a time in the Texas town of El Paso, there lived a man named John Smith. He was the town’s mayor. One day a new restaurant opened in the town. The restaurant served sea food, chicken, and other great dishes. Then one day, a mysterious woman suddenly appeared in the town. No one knew  who the woman was, or exactly what she was doing there. As it turns out, the woman was the wife of the restaurant owner. His name was William Price. His wife’s name was Lillian. Many people ate at the restaurant on a daily b ases. One afternoon John went to the restaurant for lunch. After lunch, John left the restaurant and headed to a meeting, but he never made it to the meeting. Everyone was getting worried, and no one knew where he was. Everyone began searching everywhere for him, but he couldn’t be found anywhere. or so they thought. However, there was one place they didn’t look,   in the basement of the restaurant. That’s where John was.  It seems he was being held there for unknown reasons by the owners of the restaurant. John’s friends opened the basement door and let him out. The police arrested the restaurant owner, and charged him with kidnapping, and keeping an official from performing his job.  Other members of the owner’s family took over running the restaurant, and all ended well. As for the original owner, He retired from the business.
