Ravens Week 5 Recap

The Ravens played against the Denver Broncos in Baltimore this past Sunday. Unlike many of the predictions made leading up to the game, it was not that close of a game.
The Ravens opened the scoring on a 1-yard touchdown run by Joe Flacco in the first quarter to give them the early lead. The Ravens scored again on a 1-yard touchdown run in the second quarter by Ray Rice to give them a 14-0 lead. That touchdown was then followed by a 37-yard field goal by Billy Cundiff. The Ravens lead at the half 17-7 and would never look back.
In the fourth quarter Ray Rice scored with another 1-yard touchdown run. Then Willis McGahee scored on a 30-yard touchdown run that pretty much ended any hopes the Broncos had at making a comeback.
The final score of the game was 31-17. Ray Rice had a good game, rushing for 133 yards and scoring two touchdowns. The Ravens offense gained 415 total yards. Of the 415 yards, 233 came on the ground. The defense played ok, allowing 346 yards, 17 points, and forcing one turnover.
With the win, the Ravens improve to 4-1 on the season. They are currently in first place heading into their game against the New England Patriots, a game that should be a good one. The Ravens offense will need to continue producing in order to have a chance against the Patriots this weekend.
