My Favorite Movie and Why It Is Special to Me

My Favorite Movie and Why It Is Special to Me
By Charles Rachel

My favorite movie is Mrs.Doubtfire. It stars Robin Williams and Sally Field as a married couple with children who discover they are better people and parents when they are divorced. Their names in the movie are Daniel and Miranda Hilliard. Sally’s character is awarded full custody of the couple’s children by the court after Daniel is deemed a UN fit father and a danger to his children. He is given visitation rights, but wants more. The children’s mother meanwhile has placed an add in the local Newspaper for a baby sitter. Daniel who is also an actor sees the add and calls her several times. Each time changing his voice making it appear many people are interested in the position. The last time he calls, he makes his voice sound like that of a sixty year old woman and calls himself Mrs. Doubtfire. Then he goes to there house dressed in a body suit and mask. He gets the job as the new baby sitter. He must take the costume off and put it on several times during the movie. Daniel also gets a job working as the host of a children’s educational program at the television station where he once worked as a shipping clerk and cartoon actor. In the end the judge’s decision is reversed. Daniel is found to be a fit father and takes the children for a few hours after school to spend time with them. This movie is special to me because it shows what parents are willing to do or go through for the children they love.
